ESCAPE SHIFT

Escape Shift’ is a focused, at times poetic, mediation on the relationship between printmaking and the act of digital communication. It is a poetic work in that, in its totality, it addresses, without making overarching statements, the relationship between old and new print media, in relation to a landscape considered both physical and virtual.

Dara Waldron: Lecturer in Critical and Contextual Studies at Limerick School of Art and Design.

Escape Shift’ is a multi-panel wall installation devised and developed by artists Noelle Noonan and Catherine Hehir, comprising of 120 individual artworks in a variety of print methodologies (silkscreen, monoprint, woodblock, drypoint, laser cut, cyanotype and etching).
